Working across institutional, disciplinary, and community divides, IA strengthens and promotes public scholarship, cultural organizing, and campus change that inspires collective imagination, knowledge-making, and civic action on pressing public issues.

Supporting Public Humanities at the Critical Intersections: An Imagining America Manifesto

We are excited to share a recent publication by IA Faculty Director, Erica Kohl-Arenas, from the recently launched journal, Public Humanities. In this research paper and manifesto, Kohl-Arenas proposes five critical ways in which institutions of higher education can better support public humanities.
